Location and directions
Hotel MUHU is situated in the village of Jindrichov, about 1.5 mile from Jablonec n. Nisou (direction to Tanvald) and only 60 miles from Prague. The mountain lodge is easily accessible for cars and buses throughout the year. There is also a public bus line no.5 that goes to Jindrichov from Jablonec n. Nisou, though it runs only once a day in the morning hours. You can also take line no.4 to Lucany n. Nisou, this connection runs quite often and we offer to bring in your luggage from the stop “Odbocka Jindrichov” which is about 1 mile away form the hotel. Another option is to take the train in direction Jablonec – Tanvald and get off at the stop “Lucany n. Nisou” and again we can help you with your luggage from there.
Facilities and services
The hotel has the capacity of 60 beds. You can choose 2 bed – 6 bed rooms. Six double bedrooms have private bathroom. Another three of them have sink only. The rest of the rooms have common bathrooms and toilets on the floor. The guests can decide between breakfast only or combination with dinner. The hotel has a bar , a TV lounge and a table tennis room. During the summer months the guests are welcome to use the outdoor fireplace with seating. There also is available parking next to the hotel.
Recreation and the services in the neighborhood
Jizerske mountains are the ideal destination for both summer and winter vacation. In the winter there are several options for downhill skiing in the nearby centers: Severak (1mile), Bedrichov (5miles) or Tanvaldsky Spicak (5miles). You can also take advantage of the ski tow for children about .5miles from the hotel (ideal for school trips). Right next to the lodge you can find a cross country ski tacks. In the summer the terrain is suitable for both hiking and mountain biking. About .5 miles away form the hotel you can visit a natural swimming pool. If you go 2 miles further you end up at a beautiful lake (dam) in Jablonec n. Nisou where even the most demanding guest will find all necessary services. In the town of Jablonec you will find an indoor swimming pool with spiral chute and an ice ring. The largest city in the area, Liberec, features ZOO, botanical garden, luxurious Aqua Park or you can just hike to a nearby mountain Jested with a beautiful radio tower. You can also visit chateau Sychrov, town of Frydlant and its monumental chateau with a collection of antiques left here by Valdstein, the spa town of Libverda with a Giant Keg or pilgrimage place Hejnice with a majestic monastery. The main attraction in the summer is definitely bicycling. You can make romantic trips to many lookout towers in the vicinity: Bramberk, Slovanka, Kralovka, Spicak, Cerna Studnice, Jablonec, Prosec, Kopanina, and Stepanka. Some people would find exciting to go whitewater rafting or to go visit the newly built bobsleigh track in Janov n. Nisou (3 miles).
